Strengthening Cybersecurity and Resilience of Digital Infrastructure with the Cloud

This webinar explored effective cybersecurity policies and how the cloud's security and resilience could improve outcomes for critical infrastructure entities.

As countries embrace the digital economy, the importance of being alert to cyber threats has risen accordingly. Data provider Statista predicts the global cost of cybercrime will increase to $13.82 trillion by 2028 from $9.22 trillion in 2024.

This webinar explored effective cybersecurity policies and how the security and resilience of the cloud could improve outcomes for critical infrastructure entities. It examined the roles and responsibilities of different players in the digital ecosystem in bolstering cybersecurity. The webinar also featured a real-life use-case demonstration of how critical information infrastructure providers could improve security using cloud technologies. The event was held to mark Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

The webinar is part of the Digital Policy Webinar Series organized by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). This webinar series brings together policymakers, regulators, think tanks, academia, industry, and other key stakeholders to explore how emerging technologies and forward-thinking, pro-innovation digital policies can accelerate the digital transformation journey of nations. It seeks to enhance understanding about digital technologies, the benefits, and the policy best practices for digital transformation.
