Regional Seminar on Fintech in Capital Markets
3 to 7 July 2017

South Korea

Financial technologies are changing the game in the financial services sector. While the fintech industry is relatively a young sector, it has been recognized for its economic return on innovation in terms of jobs and Gross Domestic Product growth. Globally, fintech requires financial regulators to adjust their approach, increase consultation with stakeholders, and engage with regulatory technology.

ADB continues to work with partners in helping stakeholders cope with the regulatory challenges posed by fintech by providing seminars and trainings through the APEC Financial Regulators Training Initiative.
