NDC 3.0: Advancing ADB’s Support for Developing Member Countries 19 September 2024 The webinar focused on the critical role of NDC 3.0 in raising climate ambitions across the Asia-Pacific region and how ADB supports developing member countries (DMCs) in achieving these climate actions. NDC 3.0 represents the next iteration of nationally determined contributions, emphasizing enhanced ambition and implementability, as countries prepare their updates for 2025 in alignment with the Paris Agreement goals. Key topics included lessons from NDC 2.0 implementation through ADB’s NDC Advance technical assistance platform, which has supported over 23 DMCs. Panelists shared insights on overcoming systemic barriers, enhancing project pipelines, and mobilizing finance. The event also introduced forward-looking tools such as the NDC 3.0 Navigator to guide countries in aligning their NDCs with climate and development priorities. The NDC 3.0 Navigator is an interactive tool that supports the development of NDCs to be submitted in 2025. It helps countries raise ambition and accelerate implementation of the next round of NDCs (NDCs 3.0).
