21 October 2026

Armenia

This side-event will showcase practical experiences from leading PDBs that are integrating biodiversity into investment processes, risk management systems, portfolio management, and innovative financial products. It will highlight the potential for collaboration and effective synergies between public and private finance to support the development of GBF-aligned business models at scale, globally. The discussion will provide concrete examples of how financial institutions can contribute to the implementation of the GBF while strengthening long-term economic sustainability.

The side-event will also bring together key actors from the biodiversity and sustainable finance communities, including conservation organizations, to present the latest scientific knowledges, tools, standards and market developments supporting biodiversity integration. Their contributions will highlight how science-based approaches, disclosure frameworks and collaborative initiatives can help financial institutions move from commitments to implementation and scale nature-positive finance.
