Key Indicators for Asia and the Pacific 2023 Launch
24 August 2023

At the beginning of 2022, Asia and the world seemed poised for an economic recovery as the COVID-19 pandemic began to recede. Unfortunately, additional shocks unsettled the nascent recovery, hindering the progress that had been underway. Cost of living pressures rose as prices of energy and food spiked in 2022.

The webinar presented findings from Key Indicators for Asia and the Pacific 2023 focusing on the lingering impact of the pandemic and increased cost of living crisis on the living conditions of people living in poverty. A panel of experts from the government and development community discussed the report’s implications as we maneuver our way to get back on track in eradicating poverty by 2030.
