International Procurement Workshop
25 to 27 September 2024

The International Procurement Workshop, jointly organized by ADB and the Public Procurement Service of Korea (PPS), was held on 25-27 September 2024 in Seoul, South Korea. The workshop brought together 27 high-level procurement officials from fourteen DMCs to discuss the new trends and the know-how of Korea’s key procurement policy and e-procurement system while fostering knowledge sharing and networking among procurement officials and professionals across Asia and the Pacific. The workshop promoted cross-country dialogues and learning through country presentations and round table discussions using the World Cafe method. It provided a platform for open dialogue - bilateral meetings among the participating countries and with ADB and PPS. PPFD procurement director and staff from field offices Galiya Ismakova, Chitoshi Izumi, Julian Doczi, Sokunthea Sok, and Yorkinjon Alimov participated in the workshop. They facilitated policy dialogue, networking sessions, and interactions with government procurement authorities to further ADB collaboration and strengthen country systems. PPS Administrator Ki-keun Lim and Galiya Ismakova welcomed the participants while PPS Director General Eung-keol Kim closed the workshop.
