International Anticorruption Day 2025 - Embedding a Culture of Integrity: Lessons from Local Government and Procurement

ADB's International Anticorruption Day (IAD) celebration concluded on 11 December 2025. This year’s commemoration focused on “Embedding a Culture of Integrity: Lessons from Local Governments.” 

Keynote speaker, Mayor Victor Ma. Regis Sotto of Pasig City, Philippines, shared his experience in fighting entrenched corruption and transforming governance in his city. He was joined by Bernadine Fernz, Open Contracting Partnership’s Global Head of Infrastructure and Regional Head of Asia Pacific, in a panel discussion moderated by ADB's Director General of the Procurement, Portfolio, and Financial Management Department, Aman Trana. The discussion revolved around practical strategies for promoting transparency and accountability in procurement.
