Intern Presentation: Microfinance under the New Normal 16 July 2021 Ayushi Misra, FSG Intern, delivered a presentation on the topic "Microfinance under the New Normal". The presentation, through analysis of the microfinance sector of three Asian countries viz Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Philippines, aimed to identify the potential risks that the sector is facing in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. It also analyses the support that the governments and the regulators have given to the sector and the potential strategies that could enable to microfinance sector to sustain itself by maintaining liquidity and solvency and enhance outreach to lower-income households as well as contribute towards a more equitable, sustainable and greener recovery after the pandemic.
