From limiting environmental impact and assessing sites for offshore wind farms to mapping rural households without access to electricity, Earth observation and satellite imagery can support planning for energy sector investments. 

This webinar will showcase three applications of earth observation and satellite imagery in support of power sector planning and investment preparation, presenting the methods used and how they can help drive the impact of power sector projects. The webinar will also highlight ADB’s ongoing collaboration with the European Space Agency.

The knowledge event is the 9th in a series organized by the Emerging Areas Team, Energy Sector Office.
