Series: Asian Impact: ADB Research in Action How Government Assistance Reduces Food Insecurity 29 May 2025 Findings from a 2023 household survey conducted in Southeast Asia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia showed that both regions had significant levels of food insecurity, with Southeast Asia showing more severe conditions. Among the various coping strategies adopted by households, only applying for government assistance had a significant effect on reducing food insecurity.
