High-level Roundtable Discussion: From Financing Gaps to Financing Solutions: Accelerating Investment for Clean Air 16 October 2026 Thailand The Clean Air Fund and the Asian Development Bank are organizing a high-level roundtable during the 2026 World Bank and IMF Annual Meetings and the 2026 CCAC Annual Meetings in Bangkok. Bringing together senior representatives from multilateral development banks, governments, donors, the private sector, philanthropy, and leading experts, the roundtable will provide an opportunity to discuss experiences, challenges, and practical approaches for increasing investment in clean air action, at a time of growing pressure on development finance resources. The roundtable discussion will be informed by new evidence from two complementary pieces of research: The 8th edition of the State of Global Air Quality Funding 2026 (SOGAQF), which provides the latest analysis of international development finance for air quality; and New research from the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group, A Practitioner’s Guide to Financing Instruments for Clean Air, examining how public and private financial instruments can help mobilise and deploy greater investment for clean air action. The objectives of the event are to discuss: Key trends and findings from the latest SOGAQF analysis; Practical approaches to scaling investment through innovative financing instruments; Opportunities for collaboration to increase the quantity, quality and impact of financing for clean air. Hosted as global finance leaders gather in Bangkok for the Annual Meetings, the roundtable will create space for participants to exchange perspectives on how air quality can be better integrated into development finance, identify opportunities for collaboration, and discuss the policies, partnerships and financing approaches needed to deliver large-scale action.
