Green Road to Cali Series
28 June 2024

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), led by the Environment Group under the Climate Change and Sustainable Department, focuses on addressing the triple planetary crisis of biodiversity loss, environmental pollution, and climate change as part of its mandate as the Climate Bank of Asia and the Pacific. The work of the ADB Environment Group includes increasing nature-positive investments and mainstreaming environmental sustainability across various sectors, such as transport, water, urban development, energy, and agriculture, alongside strengthening knowledge sharing and capacity building.

With the upcoming 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) to be held at Cali, Colombia this October, ADB, in collaboration with key partners, has organized the “Green Road to Cali” series. This is a set of four online and/or hybrid events leading up to COP 16 that puts a spotlight on essential environmental and biodiversity issues and solutions that can help accelerate the uptake of nature-positive investments and sustainable development, especially among ADB developing member countries in Asia and the Pacific. The series will culminate with in-person side events at COP 16.

Below is a list of the concluded and upcoming sessions under the series. Details of the succeeding sessions will be announced soon. Follow ADB Environment on X (formerly Twitter) for more updates.
