Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative in Asia: Progress and Emerging Issues

Jonas Moberg, Head of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI)’s International Secretariat, presented the progress and impact of EITI implementation in Asia, particularly on how it improves governance of the extractive sector. He also discussed EITI's new requirements on disclosure of beneficial ownership and transparency in commodity trading.
