Series: Asian Impact: ADB Research in Action Enhancing MSME Development in Timor-Leste 5 December 2024 ADB conducted a business mapping survey in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Timor-Leste in July 2024 to help design a feasible national MSME development policy as part of ADB support for the Government of Timor-Leste in its accession to ASEAN. Growth momentum in Timor-Leste is currently driven by private consumption, tourism, and remittances. A panel of experts will discuss how strengthening MSMEs can diversify the economy and sustain its development beyond the resource-oriented growth model.
