This workshop is jointly organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Pacific Islands Tax Administrators Association (PITAA). Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) is a joint initiative of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP); and the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes (Global Forum).

This workshop aims to provide capacity building clinic on conducting risk assessments, undertaking steps to conduct TP audits and applying the arm’s length principle to related party cross- border transactions in certain specialized industries that exist in the Pacific Islands. Sessions will also be included to explain the role of EOI in TP and how to implement and use EOI mechanisms such as the MAAC for information gathering purposes during the TP audit process. In addition, the workshop will assess and provide recommendations to these countries on the implementation of TP related compliance activities and EOI process. For that purpose, the workshop will combine sessions dedicated to the discussion with relevant countries of the necessary steps to be adopted as to the application of the TP auditing and EOI procedures.

This will bring together tax officials from tax administrations from the Pacific Islands States in an essential workshop focussed on conducting transfer pricing audits and utilizing Exchange of Information (EOI) instruments to resolve these audits.
