Asia-Pacific Contractual Savings Forum
16 to 17 November 2026

Singapore

As Asia and the Pacific confront the challenges of population ageing, widening protection gaps, and increasing demands for long-term financing, strengthening private pension and life insurance systems has become an important development priority. Robust contractual savings ecosystems not only enhance financial security and resilience for individuals and households but also mobilize long-term domestic capital needed to finance infrastructure, climate adaptation, and sustainable development. Against this backdrop, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is convening the Asia Contractual Savings Forum to promote integrated, inclusive, and sustainable private pension and life insurance ecosystems across its developing member countries.

The Forum will bring together senior government officials, regulators, pension and insurance industry leaders, development partners, financial institutions, fintech companies, asset managers, and other stakeholders to exchange knowledge and share experiences on governance, supervision, investment regulation, digitalization, and risk management. Participants will also explore opportunities to strengthen the role of private pension and life insurance funds as responsible institutional investors and mobilize greater private sector capital for infrastructure, resilience, and climate-related investments.

Through high-level policy dialogue and technical exchanges, the Forum aims to foster collaboration among key stakeholders and support reforms that enhance financial inclusion, deepen capital markets, and promote sustainable and resilient development across Asia and the Pacific. ADB cordially invites stakeholders and partners to participate in this important regional platform and contribute to shaping the future of contractual savings systems in the region.
