Anticorruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific (ACI) 2026 Regional Seminar
12 to 14 May 2026

Uzbekistan

On 12–14 May 2026, ADB and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan, convened the Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific (ACI) 2026 Regional Seminar in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The seminar brought together over 60 anti-corruption practitioners, policymakers, law enforcement representatives, business representatives, civil society, and international partners from across Asia and the Pacific. Building on the ACI’s expanded membership of 35 DMCs, the event provided a platform to exchange good practices, strengthen capacity, and deepen cooperation in promoting integrity and combating corruption. With the theme “Partnering across public and private sectors to foster integrity and fight corruption in Asia and the Pacific,” the seminar underscores the importance of collaboration in advancing resilient governance and ethical business environments.

Over two days, the seminar served as a venue for public-private dialogue on integrity, with interactive sessions on conflict of interest, integrity risk management, whistleblower protection systems, and corporate liability. Participants also explored practical approaches to designing incentives and sanctions that promote business integrity. ADB also co-organized the 8th meeting of the Asia-Pacific Law Enforcement Network (AP LEN), a closed-door event that convened investigators, prosecutors, and practitioners to exchange experiences on corruption cases, including the use of technology, data analytics, and financial investigation techniques.

Established in 1999, the ADB-OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific provides a regional forum for policymakers, practitioners, experts, and private sector representatives to exchange practices and experiences to fight corruption and promote integrity.
