ADB's First Innovation Fair

09 January 2020
Mandaluyong
Philippines

ADB’s first Knowledge Innovation Fair (“the Fair”) was held on 10 January 2020 at ADB headquarters in Manila. It was a 1-day learning and knowledge-sharing event for ADB staff, with more than 460 attendees. The Fair is a part of the innovation framework initiatives aligned with Strategy 2030 which clearly articulates ADB’s role in promoting, facilitating, and driving innovation.

ADB established a bank-wide innovation task force to develop the framework in 2019, which focuses on creating an enabling environment and a culture of innovation, with the clear purpose to improve the way ADB serves its clients- ADB’s developing member countries and their populations in Asia and the Pacific.

ADB recognizes that many innovative ideas -process, or products related- are being generated at ADB. However, often ADB staff across the bank is not aware of all the innovations happening.  For this reason, the Fair aimed at showcasing the range of innovations happening across departments and teams, and develop the staff’s innovative capability.
