ADB at UNFCCC Climate Change Conference (ADB@COP30) 10 to 21 November 2025 Brazil The Government of Brazil hosted the 30th UNFCCC Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém, Pará, in the heart of the Amazon. The meeting comprised the thirtieth session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 30), the twentieth session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP 20), and the seventh session serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement (CMA 7). COP30 marked 10 years since the Paris Agreement’s adoption and served as a key waypoint for enhanced ambition and implementation during the decade, under the COP Presidencies Troika. Building on the outcomes of COP28 (Dubai, 2023) and COP29 (Baku, 2024), COP30 advanced implementation across mitigation, adaptation, loss and damage, and finance. Following agreements on the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) and the “Baku to Belém Roadmap to 1.3,” Parties negotiated how international climate finance could scale from USD 300 billion toward USD 1.3 trillion annually by 2035.
