ADB Transport Forum 2018 12 to 14 September 2018 Philippines By ADB estimates, the Asian transport sector will require over $8.4 trillion in investments until 2030 in order to continue the region’s growth trajectory while responding to the challenges of climate change. Opportunities exist to close the infrastructure funding gap and direct the financing toward more sustainable, resilient transport infrastructure, and the forum provides an opportunity to discuss these opportunities and attendant challenges. The ADB Transport Forum 2018 focused on the issue of "Financing the Future of Transport in Asia and the Pacific" and served a venue to discuss real-world sustainable transport solutions with the policy makers, thought leaders, and practitioners working in the transport sector. The Forum also engaged ADB and its developing member countries and partners in a unique dialogue on the challenges and opportunities facing the transport sector, and provided an opportunity to learn about the latest technical advances, best practices and challenges in sustainable transport covering each of the main transport modes, and the new technologies and approaches that are reshaping the sector.
