ADB-LX Corp Joint Workshop on Building National Spatial Data Infrastructure
31 October 2022 to 04 November 2022
ADB and LX Corporation co-organizaed a workshop on “Building National Spatial Data Infrastructure” on 31 October-4 November 2022. The workshop supported by Republic of Korea e-Asia and Knowledge Partnership Fund and was in the context of Smart Geo Expo 2022 in S. Korea. The workshop aimed to promote integrated approach in building national spatial data infrastructure under a systematic e-governance framework in developing member countries (DMCs). Participants learned about opportunities and challenges in developing an integrated national spatial data infrastructure with a holistic view linking the relevant digital government systems through interactive sessions. Around 40 participants from governments, international development partners, academia, and private sector from the selected DMCs joined the workshop. In addition, ADB staff working in public sector management and urban development sector also joined the discussions on how ADB can support its DMCs in enhancing the capacity of geospatial data management, land administration and planning using digital technology.
