5th Asia and the Pacific Youth Symposium 27 to 30 May 2025 Philippines Flowing Forward: Youth Catalyzing Water Resilience The 5th Asia and the Pacific Youth Symposium (APYS5), co-convened by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Plan International, and the International Water Association through the Philippine Young Water Professionals (PYWP), is a four-day in-person event from May 27–30, 2025, held at ADB headquarters in Manila with three virtual capacity development sessions happening on 13-15 May. Integrated within the ADB Asia Water and Urban Development Forum 2025, APYS5 will bring together youth, governments, CSOs, and key stakeholders to address complex water-related challenges and co-create the ADB Action Agenda on Water and Youth. The symposium aims to enhance youth capacity, foster innovation, and promote inclusive engagement in the water sector, culminating in an action agenda for meaningful youth engagement in ADB water operations. It will also offer networking and mentorship opportunities, with online access to capacity development sessions.
