3rd Climate Adaptation Investment Planning Forum 2026
15 to 16 September 2026

Launched in 2024, the Climate Adaptation Investment Planning (CAIP) Program of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) supports developing member countries in Asia and the Pacific in translating national adaptation priorities into investment-ready pipelines that can mobilize public and private finance while delivering wider development benefits, including reducing poverty, creating jobs, and enhancing fiscal health.

Now on its third year, the annual CAIP Forum brings together selected ADB developing member countries, development partners, financial institutions, private sector representatives, and global climate funds for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnership building.

The 3rd CAIP Forum will build on lessons from previous years and explore key components of the CAIP framework, including climate risk analytics, adaptation investment prioritization, finance matchmaking, institutionalizing adaptation investment planning, and linking CAIP with global and regional processes, partnerships, and initiatives.

Sessions will examine how climate risk information can inform investment decisions; how public and private adaptation investments can be prioritized and financed; how countries can institutionalize adaptation investment planning within national planning and budgeting systems; and how partnerships, finance, and global processes can help turn adaptation priorities into investment-ready and implemented projects.

The forum will also feature country experiences, adaptation investment cases, partner showcases, deep-dive discussions, and roundtables focused on advancing adaptation investments.
