The Geothermal Power Generation project was first approved in 2020 in which the $300 million loan will finance the expansion of geothermal power generation capacity by 110 megawatts in Java.

In attendance as well were officials from the Ministry of Finance, the government's Joint Crediting Mechanism Secretariat, Embassy of Japan in Indonesia, and ADB's JFJCM fund manager.

The project is led by Daniel Miller of the Pacific and Southeast Asia Operations Team.
