On 4 August, ADB along with the Philippines’ Department of Energy (DOE), World Bank, and International Finance Corporation gathered more than 120 participants to the first Stakeholders Engagement Meeting for the Philippines’ Climate Investment Fund Accelerating Coal Transition (CIF-ACT) Investment Plan. Just Energy Transition Partnership Advisor, Andrew Jeffries and DOE Undersecretary William Fuentebella delivered the opening remarks. Representatives from the Philippine government, NGOs and CSOs, private sector, and international organizations attended the hybrid event that facilitated the preparation of the Investment Plan. The event was organized and participated in by the OneADB ETM team consisting of members of the staff from the ETMP Energy Sector Office, Office of Market Development and Public-Private Partnership, Climate Change Resilience and Environment Cluster, Office of Safeguards, and NGO and Civil Society Center.
