External Evaluation of the Clean Energy Financing Partnership Facility

An external evaluation of the performance of the Clean Energy Financing Partnership Facility (CEFPF) will be conducted in 2022 as requested by the financing partners. The external evaluation will assess how effective CEFPF is in helping ADB achieve its clean energy goals, while also meeting financing partner expectations. It will also ascertain how prepared the CEFPF is in aligning with Strategy 2030 and 2021 Energy Policy, and in contributing to ADB’s climate finance ambition of $100 billion for 2019-2030. The external evaluation will be financed through a CEFPF direct charge.

The CEFPF is composed of the Clean Energy Fund, the Asian Clean Energy Fund, the Carbon Capture and Storage Fund, the Canadian Climate Fund for the Private Sector in Asia and the newly established Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization Innovation Fund which can support the deployment of innovative artificial intelligence and digitalization technologies in the DMCs. The CEFPF is being managed by the Sector Advisory Division in SDCC. The next batch application deadline is on 31 January 2022. For any inquiry on the CEFPF, you may get in touch with the Alternate Facility Manager, Kee-Yung Nam, or the CEFPF Secretariat through Denise Encarnacion.
