The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) Energy Access and Transition Trust Fund has been approved under the Innovative Finance Facility for Climate in Asia and the Pacific (IF-CAP) Financing Partnership Facility. The Trust Fund will finance innovative distributed renewable energy and clean energy solutions through grants and blended finance to support developing member countries’ clean energy transition. It will be administered by the SDCC Partner Funds Division in coordination with the Energy Sector Group on behalf of GEAPP, who contributed $35 million to support clean energy access and energy transition projects. Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Viet Nam, and Pakistan are the eligible DMCs that can access GEATTF.
