In fulfillment of the agreement with the financing partners, the Clean Energy Financing Partnership Facility (CEFPF) 2020 Annual Report and 2021 Annual Work Program were submitted on 25 February 2020. The annual report highlights the fund allocations to 11 projects amounting to $12.0 million in 2020. These projects will contribute to improving access to energy, enhancing energy security, and decreasing the rate of climate change in the developing member countries. Since its establishment in 2007, the CEFPF has allocated a total of $240.0 million to 207 clean energy projects, and $2.7 million to 3 adaptation projects. The allocation is expected to leverage $4.5 billion of clean energy investments from ADB, $1.16 billion in investments from the private sector, and $2.3 billion from sovereign operations. Aside from leveraging clean energy investments, the supported projects are also deploying new clean energy technologies, introducing new approaches to promote clean energy, providing co-benefits on productivity, and reducing barriers to clean energy development in the DMCs. The 2021 annual program indicates that the CEFPF continues to be a relevant facility for clean energy projects. The indicative project pipeline from ADB's operations departments amounts to about $27.2 million to support clean energy projects in the DMCs.Download the report> Clean Energy Financing Partnership Facility: Annual Report 2020
