Profile / Bio

Dr. Prof. Zviad Gabisonia is the Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia. Prior to this role, he served as an expert in Digital Education and Artificial Intelligence at the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, and as an advisor on legal issues of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, Digital Governance Agency. He also directed the Research Center for Artificial Intelligence and Technology Law at Caucasus International University.  Prof. Zviad Gabisonia led the Doctoral Program in Digital Governance and AI at Business and Technology University (BTU) and has served as a LegalTech expert at the Georgian Anti-Corruption Bureau and advisor on Science and Innovation at Caucasus International University. From 2018 to 2020, he was Director General of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia. He is also a visiting professor at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and has lectured at Ilia State University, Caucasus International University, and BTU. Dr. Gabisonia graduated with honors in Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and earned his PhD through postgraduate studies there and at the University of Bremen.
