Yunsoung Kim is a Research Fellow at Green Energy Strategy Institute which mainly concerns renewable energy, district heating and cooling, and electricity market reform policies for the energy transition. Ever since she received her PhD in Urban Planning from Seoul National University in 2007, she has been working in climate change and renewable energy sector.
Her interests include deployment and acceptance of renewable energy, district heating and cooling, SDGs related to climate change, and renewable energy cooperation strategies on the Korean Peninsula. Recently, she served as a working group on K-SDGs(SDG7) organized by the Ministry of Environment. She is currently a member of the Climate-Energy Committee of the Korea Federation for Environmental Movements and a member of the Policy Committee for the Korea NGO's Energy Network.
