Yue Zhang

ZHANG Yue was born in Changsha in 1960. He graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in 1980, and worked as a teacher and librarian. In 1988, Mr. Zhang and his younger brother founded BROAD with RMB30,000. Ever since its inception, Mr. Zhang spends 90% of his time on technologies, leading the research & development of all Group products. He has obtained well over 300 patents for his inventions. Each of his inventions has revolutionized the industry, making BROAD a globally recognized technological leader.

Facing the imminent situation of global climate change and air pollution, Mr. Zhang has dreamed of completely replacing traditional reinforced concrete in building, road and bridge, and the traditional covering parts of car and airplane with super-strong super-light core tubular stainless steel slabs to reduce greenhouse gas and pollutant emissions in international construction and transportation sectors by 2~5 times, which will make human fortunes an eternal wealth for all generations. Mr. Zhang was awarded “the Champions of the Earth” by the United Nations in 2011.
