Profile / Bio

Dr. Yanghee Kim is a research fellow at the Dept. of Global Cooperation & Development, NHIS. She has been engaged in many international development projects for strengthening social health insurance scheme in Ghana, Peru, Colombia and Indonesia, etc. Her research interests are in social health insurance, gender & health, women’s reproductive health, and development & welfare.

Dr. Kim designed and conducted NHIS-ADBI Joint Workshop on Digital Health for Supporting UHC in Asia and the Pacific on March 2024. She also designed and conducted NHIS-ADB International Joint Workshop for Using Digital Technology to Improve National Health Financing in Asia PhD and the Pacific. She holds a PhD and master’s degree in Women’s Studies and bachelor’s degree in political science from Ewha Woman’s University, Korea.
