Viengkhan Phixay

Dr. Viengkhan Phixay holds a medical doctor degree from the National University of Health Sciences, Lao PDR. She previously served as a Senior Health Officer at the Ministry of Health (MOH), working in the maternal and child health sector for more than 10 years. During her tenure at the Mother and Child Health Center, she provided dedicated support and leadership to the implementation of the MOH’s Maternal and Child Death Reduction Program.

Currently, Dr. Viengkhan is the Deputy Director General of the Department of Hygiene and Health Promotion, where she oversees hygiene and health promotion activities, as well as work related to climate change and health. She has strong expertise in both public health and environmental health.
