Uwe Send

Uwe Send is a distinguished scientist and educator with a profound background in the fields of astrophysics and oceanography. He holds a Master of Science in Astrophysics from the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK and a second Master's degree in Oceanography at the University of Southampton, Southampton, UK.

Uwe Send earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Oceanography from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. 

Since 2003, Uwe has served as a dedicated professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego. His research focus spans multi-disciplinary timeseries observations, coastal and global ocean observing systems, and cutting-edge ocean observing technologies.
