Tiffany Chen is a chemical engineer working as a Senior Networks Operations Engineer in Asset Analytics at Sydney Water (Australia). Most recently she has worked with New South Wales Health to devise sewage sampling methods to draw samples to test for SARS-CoV-2 from the sewer network of Sydney and surrounding areas covering over five million people. She has been providing advice to other utilities internationally on her experiences. Her focus is on driving business value through analytics and integrated problem solving. She has experience in using network and GIS skills in evolving real-world situations through work in the Black Summer bushfires with New South Wales Rural Fire service and Sydney Water. She has worked across waterway modelling, strategic planning, regulation application and development, commercial operations and safety. Prior to the water industry she spent five years in the manufacturing industry as a Process Engineer specialising in process optimisation, operations and sustainability.
