Dr. Thanapon Piman has 15 years of work experience in water resources engineering, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), river basin planning, climate change, and adaptation and disaster risk management. He specializes in meteorological and hydrological analysis, water resources modeling and GIS for water resources and land-use planning, assessing impacts of water resources development and climate change on water, water-related resources and sectors, developing flood and drought warning system as well as decision support system for water resources management. He obtained his BA in Civil Engineering from Prince of Songkla University, his MA in Water Resources Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, and his PhD in Water Resources Engineering and Management from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.
