Tara Prasad Pradhan

Mr. Tara P. Pradhan, is Deputy Managing Director (DMD) in Nepal Electricity Authority(NEA) which is a public electric utility responsible for generation, transmission and distribution of electric power in Nepal.

He has started his carrier as a Lecturer in the Tribhuvan University in Nepal and later joined NEA as an electrical engineer. He has been engaged in field of power transmission and distribution since 30 years. He has worked in different positions in NEA e.g. Grid Operation Engineer and  Project Manager and Director in the various transmission and substation projects of NEA. At present, as a Deputy Managing Director(DMD) of NEA he leads the Project Management Directorate which is responsible for executing transmission, substation and distribution projects as well as Information Technology projects which are being financed by Asian Development Bank(ADB), Government of Norway and European Investment Bank.
