Profile / Bio: 

Mr. T.D. Sivakumar has more than 25 years of work experience, with over 21 years in India Exim Bank, in various roles and in different locations. He joined the Bank in 2000 and is currently heading the Business Development Group. Prior to this, he has headed the Bank’s Project Exports and Corporate Banking groups and the Bank’s offices in Washington DC, Chennai, and Bengaluru.

Mr. Sivakumar was selected by the Washington D.C. based Institute of International Finance for its Future Leaders Group in 2014, with participants, who are all 40 or under and nominated by their institutions, based on a track record of achievement within the institution and their potential to become a future leader in global finance. He has attended the Advanced Leadership Programme: Credit, Markets and Financial Technologies, jointly organized by CAFRAL and McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA. He has also attended the High Performers’ Leadership Development Programme, jointly organized by ICLIF, Malaysia, and the Australian Institute of Management, Australia. He is a Member of the Advisory Group for the Commonwealth Small States Trade Finance Facility.

Mr. Sivakumar holds a bachelor’s degree in leather technology from Alagappa College of Technology, Anna University, Chennai, and a master's degree in business administration (with specialization in finance & marketing) from Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli. He has also completed the World Bank Group’s Massive Open Online Courses on Financing for Development and Public-Private Partnerships.

Mr. Sivakumar has traveled across the world for business and has also made presentations in international events and fora. He is married and lives in Mumbai with his family. In his leisure time, he enjoys time with the family, watching movies, and traveling.
