Syams Nashrrullah is a Research Specialist at the Geoinformatics Center (GIC) of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand. He has played a pivotal role in regional emergency response initiatives with a focus on disaster risk reduction and geospatial data applications. Notably, he contributed to developing value-added products (VAPs) for the 2018 Sulawesi earthquake and tsunami, which were utilized for immediate response and long-term reconstruction efforts.

Syams has represented GIC-AIT in various international forums, including the 9th Joint Project Team Meeting for Sentinel Asia in November 2024. His academic background includes a Master's degree in Geoinformatics, with research focusing on landslide mapping using high-resolution remote sensing data. 

Through his work, Syams continues to advance the use of geospatial technologies in disaster management and sustainable development across the Asia-Pacific region.
