Dr. Sunil Mohamed is a prominent Indian marine biologist and fisheries scientist with a distinguished career at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR-CMFRI). His expertise spans molluscan fisheries, mariculture, and marine ecological modelling, having led research on Indian cephalopod biology and ecosystem dynamics in various regions. Dr. Mohamed has a strong background in academia, holding an M.Sc. in marine biology and a Ph.D. in crustacean physiology. He has been recognised for his contributions with awards like the Jawaharlal Nehru Award and the TVR Pillay Aquaculture Award. Beyond research, he's been an influential figure in fisheries management, serving on national committees and the Marine Stewardship Council's Technical Advisory Board. Currently, he chairs the Sustainable Seafood Network of India.
