International Cooperation Specialist, Climate and Air Quality Policy Bureau

Organized international meetings, workshops, capacity-building programs, and events including:

  • Korea-OECD Joint Workshop on Climate-Air Quality Modeling & Policy Scenario Research (2023);
  • Korea-China -Japan Tripartite Policy Dialogue on Air Pollution (2015, 2018, 2021, 2023);
  • Korea-Japan Bilateral PM2.5 Cooperation Meeting (2015-2019, 2022); and
  • Korea-UNEP Joint Project on Strengthening Regional Cooperation on Clean Air (2022)
  • Participated as the Korean delegation to intergovernmental meetings in climate agenda including UNFCCC, UNEA, and UN General Assembly.
  • Participated in decision-making processes in formulating governance, policies, countermeasures, national strategies related to climate and air quality issues
  • Collected and analyzed scientific evidence and numeric data and conducted cases studies and evaluated lessons-learnt from practices of other countries to support policy decision-making
  • Played a liaison role between the Korean government and international organizations, academia, industries, and other stakeholders in the field of environment
  • Prepared and responded to intergovernmental meeting agenda and drafted, reviewed and finalized legal documentation (MOU, agreement, letters, policy reports, etc.)  
  • Designed, planned, and implemented the financial portfolio for international cooperation projects of the Bureau
