Simil Johnson Youse

Hon. Simil Johnson Youse is an experienced public servant with over 30 years of distinguished service in the Vanuatu Government. He began his career as the Government Statistician, where he played a key role in strengthening national data systems and evidence-based policy development. From 2020 to 2022, he served as Chairman of the Public Service Commission, leading major reforms to enhance transparency, efficiency, and performance across the public sector.  In 2024, Hon. Youse was appointed Minister of Education and Training, where he continues to drive national priorities focused on improving access, quality, and relevance of education and skills development for all Ni-Vanuatu. His leadership reflects a deep commitment to human capital development and nation-building through education.
