Sheila Bonito, Dean of the University of the Philippines Manila College of Nursing and Head of the WHO Collaborating Center for Leadership in Nursing Development, trailblazing innovations in nursing education for national and global development. 

She is the President of the Association of Deans of the Philippine Colleges of Nursing, which helps in sharing best practices and building capacity and mentoring deans and faculty. She is also a member of the Philippine Commission on Higher Education Technical Panel for Nursing Education, working on programs and policies to ensure the quality of nursing education in the country through a standard nursing curriculum, qualified faculty members, ideal learning environments, innovative teaching-learning strategies, and authentic assessments. 

She advocates for advanced practice nursing as a career progression for Filipino nurses towards achieving better health outcomes and universal health coverage in the country.
