Shanti Mahat

Shanti Mahat is an Under Secretary at the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), a central-level organization in Nepal mandated to serve as the central resource body for disaster risk reduction and management. At present, she is involved in the Communication and Coordination Section and serve as a spokesperson and Information Officer at NDRRMA.

Previously, she worked for fifteen years in various government organizations in different managerial roles, including in the disaster management sector. During this period, she was actively engaged in coordination and collaboration with NGOs, INGOs, local governments, and community groups working in the field of disaster risk reduction and management.
