Sayaka Takahashi

Sayaka Takahashi is a senior development professional at the Asian Development Bank, currently serving as Representative of its Japanese Representative Office in Tokyo. She leads engagement with Japanese stakeholders and helps strengthen partnerships supporting development initiatives across Asia and the Pacific. Since joining ADB in 2018, she has held key roles in the Office of the Secretary and the Office of Anticorruption and Integrity, focusing on governance, compliance, and institutional coordination.

Prior to ADB, she worked in the private sector including a director role at Deloitte Japan, specializing in risk, compliance, and fraud investigations. She holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and a degree in literature from Waseda University, and is a certified CPA (US), Certified Fraud Examiner, and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
