Professor and Chair, Department of Economics, University of Hawaii Profile / Bio Profile / Bio Dr. Sang-Hyop Lee is Professor and Chair in the Department of Economics at the University of Hawaii and Senior Fellow at the East-West Center. He has served as Chair of the National Transfer Accounts (NTA) project, which includes research teams in more than 90 countries. His studies have focused on issues related with population changes, labor markets, and social welfare, with emphasis on Asian economies. He has collaborated with a lot of international organizations as well as many governments around the world. Dr. Lee received his BA and MA in economics from Seoul National University, and PhD in economics from Michigan State University.
