Samrith Chhuon

H.E. Chhuon Samrith serves as Director General of the General Department of Environmental Knowledge and Information at the Ministry of Environment. He leads national efforts to strengthen environmental data systems, knowledge management, and public information services in support of evidence-based policymaking. His work focuses on improving environmental monitoring, reporting, and digital information platforms to enhance transparency and informed decision-making across government and among stakeholders.

H.E. Samrith plays an active role in advancing Cambodia’s commitments to sustainable development, climate action, and environmental protection. He regularly represents the Ministry in regional and international dialogues on environmental governance, data systems, and knowledge sharing, promoting collaboration and innovation to address emerging environmental challenges.
