Mr. Rehan Hyder is a public procurement professional with more than 29 years of varied experience in the Central Bank, Finance Division, P&D of the Government of Pakistan, and World Bank. Rehan has been serving the World Bank as Sr. Procurement Specialist. This position involves both operational and strategic support to different sectors in procurement. He provides technical support to national and subnational governments in realigning procurement regulatory policies and procedures for development effectiveness in Pakistan. He is currently leading large multisectoral projects with federal and provincial governments of which there are several strategic IT procurements. He also led the procurement of COVID-19 vaccines.
He is volunteering as a resource person on procurement and contract management to the premier National Institute of Management (Lahore & Islamabad) and Pakistan Planning and Management Institute, Planning Division. He has been a visiting faculty on ethics, project management, and public sector management.
Rehan Hyder is passionate about emergency response, community-driven development and has worked in fragile and low-capacity environments. After graduating in Civil Engineering, Mehran University of Eng & Tech Jamshoro, Rehan Hyder pursued his post-graduation in Business Administration (MBA).
