Consultant, Mahila Housing Trust Profile / Bio Profile / Bio Rajeswari is an independent consultant in the field of environment education and education for sustainable development with over 20 years of experience. She is associated with the Mahila Housing SEWA Trust, which works with informal sector women in urban slums, and the Foundation for Ecological Security that works on socio-ecological security of rural communities. She is involved with the Climate Risk Insurance project for excess heat to build climate resilience among informal sector women from cities that has given equal importance to education, physical resilience, and financial risk transfer solutions. She represents the Trust in the Gender Working Group of the lnsuResilience Global Partnership, now Global Shield against Climate Risks, that works for gender-sensitive Climate and Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance solutions; and a World Resources Institute-led coalition called REHOUSE (Resilient, Equitable Housing, Opportunities and Urban Services) to accelerate progress towards more equitable and climate-ready cities through resilient and affordable housing.
