Rajeev Cherukapalli is an economist at Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health with research and practice experience in public finance, health, development, labor markets, and policy evaluation. He has collaborated with the World Health Organization in the area of health taxes since 2009, including leading an analysis of tobacco taxation. He is a technical reviewer for the Task Force on Fiscal Policy for Health. He previously edited a series of white papers on tobacco taxation in low- and middle-income countries for the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use.
